Old Towne Orange is about a square mile area located around the original town plaza.  Many of the original buildings still exist and have been refurbished and re-purposed for use as retail stores and restaurants.  The area is even on the National Historic Registry as are many of the homes which some date back to the late 1800's.

The average sales price for a home in Old Towne was $585,350.00 in  July,2014.   As of October,2017 the average home price is $860,000.00.   However, homes can reach the millions based on the year built and level of restoration in this highly sought after and historical area.  Rents for this area have risen over the years with the growth and demand created by the incoming students of Chapman University.  An average single family home will rent for and average of $1000.00 a room or a three bedroom home for example would be $3000.00 a month.  Some two bedroom homes are currently receiving $1900.00 to $2400.00 a month nearest the University.

Many homes are a bit smaller in Old Towne with the average two bedroom Craftsman having about one thousand square feet of living space.  There are Craftsman homes with up to three thousand square feet and possibly up to five bedrooms.
